Cool Rule for the Weeks of March 10 and 17, 2008


This week we present guidelines for creating warrior-mages, multi-classed fighter/wizard characters who combine the magical and martial arts.


This 7-page PDF includes guidelines for the combined fighter/wizard multi-class; three warrior-mage traditions of the Wilderlands of High Adventure; 19 special abilities for warrior-mages; and 14 new spells designed for use by warrior-mages.

Cool Rule of the Week for March 3, 2008


This week we present guidelines for creating sorcerers, spell casters and others who have made a Dark Pact with a Demon Lord and now command the powers to perform terrible curses and summon demons. In return for the powers of sorcery, however, they must dedicate themselves to the overthrow of all that is natural, commiting vile deeds, and subsuming their will to that of their Dark Master.


This 10-page PDF includes guidelines for creating Dark Pacts, including requirements for sorcerers to fulfill their side of the deal and benefits that they can gain; details on using the new sorcery spells, including rules for summoning and curse spells; 20 new spells; two new demons; and a new magic item. As always, of course, these rules are optional, and use of them in a campaign is completely at the discretion of the judge.
